Commercial Cleaning

Commercial cleaning in Sheffield. Cleaners who turn up.

It sounds like a low bar. Ask anyone who has managed a building and it is the whole job. We deliver over 1,500 hours of commercial cleaning a week, in Sheffield and across five counties, to offices, sites, schools and factories, with employed teams, full-time mobile supervisors, and a relief crew whose entire purpose is cover.

The reason people switch

No one changes cleaning contractor because the skirting boards were dusty.

They change because the cleaner stopped turning up, and no one told them. Three things in how we are built exist to stop that happening. None of them are promises. They are costs we carry.

Cover

A relief team that has no round of its own

Most contractors cover absence by asking someone to do two buildings. We employ relief cleaners whose only job is to fill gaps: holiday, sickness, a leaver mid-notice. It costs us money on the weeks no one is off. That is the point of it.

Supervision

Mobile supervisors, full time, on the road

Not an account manager who visits when there is a complaint. Supervisors are out across the contracts every day, checking standards in person and fixing things before they reach you. Where a building needs a spot check at 6am, that is who does it.

Verification

Hours you can check, not hours we claim

Cleaners check in and out on site with GPS-verified timestamps. You are invoiced for hours worked, and an attendance question has an answer, not an argument.

Twelve sectors

An office, a school and a production floor are not the same job.

Different hours, different access, different standards, different paperwork. We work across twelve sectors and price each one on what the building needs.

Office & corporate

Daily and out-of-hours contracts, from a single floor to a multi-tenant building. Desks, kitchens, washrooms and the meeting room a client has just been walked into.

Office cleaning →

Construction & industrial

Site welfare through the build, then builders cleans and sparkle cleans to handover standard. Site inductions, PPE and RAMS as a matter of course.

Construction cleaning →

Educational settings

Schools, colleges and training providers. Term-time schedules, holiday deep cleans, and staff who understand what being on a site with children requires.

School cleaning →

Healthcare & medical

Surgeries, clinics and consulting rooms, cleaned to infection-control protocols with colour-coded equipment and documented method statements.

Healthcare cleaning →

Manufacturing

Production areas, mess rooms and offices, scheduled around shift patterns, not against them. Work near machinery is planned with your team, not around it.

Factory cleaning →

Apartment block & communal

Entrance halls, stairwells, lifts and bin stores. The parts of a building every resident passes daily and every managing agent hears about weekly.

Communal cleaning →

Professional services

Law, accountancy, finance and consultancy. Out-of-hours access, discretion around confidential material, and a team that stays the same from month to month.

Professional services →

Public sector

Council and public buildings, with the documentation a procurement process asks for supplied up front, not chased.

Public sector cleaning →

Leisure & retail

High-footfall floors, glass and washrooms, cleaned before opening or after closing so the space is right the moment customers walk in.

Retail cleaning →

Sporting facilities

Changing rooms, showers and studios. The hardest rooms in commercial cleaning to keep right, and the ones members judge everything else by.

Gym & leisure cleaning →

Car showroom

Glass, gloss floors and display areas kept to the standard a forecourt is judged on, cleaned around opening hours and handover appointments.

Showroom cleaning →

Travel & transport

Depots, offices and passenger areas, worked overnight and early morning so the site is ready before the first shift or the first service.

Transport cleaning →

The contract, and twelve specialist services

Most of what we do is the same thing, done well, every day.

A scheduled contract clean is the core of it: agreed hours, an agreed specification, the same team each visit. Everything below sits alongside that contract, or can be booked on its own.

After builders cleaning

Dust removal, sparkle cleans and handover standard, staged around the trades still finishing.

Details →

Communal cleaning

Scheduled rounds for blocks and shared buildings, with a signed record of every visit.

Details →

High level cleaning

Atria, ductwork, beams and light fittings, worked safely at height with method statements in advance.

Details →

Infection control

Touch-point and terminal cleaning to protocol, with colour-coded equipment and documented process.

Details →

Deep cleaning

Periodic resets. Kitchens, washrooms and floors taken back to a standard daily cleaning cannot reach.

Details →

Carpet & upholstery

Extraction cleaning for offices and communal areas, scheduled out of hours to allow drying time.

Details →

Electronic equipment

Screens, keyboards, telephony and server room surfaces, cleaned with the right products, not the nearest ones.

Details →

External cleaning

Windows, cladding, signage, entrances and bin stores. The first thing a visitor sees and the last thing anyone budgets for.

Details →

Washroom services

Units, consumables and sanitary waste on a managed schedule, so no one in your team is ordering hand towels.

Details →

Janitorial supplies

Consumables delivered against your usage, not a standing order, on the same invoice as the cleaning.

Details →

Waste & recycling

Collection and segregation arranged around the building, including trade waste and confidential streams.

Details →

Premium services

The extras a flagship building needs: front-of-house presentation, event turnarounds and short-notice response.

Details →

Every service above can sit inside one contract and one invoice. See all twelve services in detail →

One supplier, not four

The cleaning is usually where it starts.

Buildings rarely need only cleaning. Two parts of the business exist so that the rest does not become four more contracts, four more invoices and four more people to chase.

NowThen People™

Staff, when the building needs more than cleaners

The same recruitment, vetting and HR that puts our cleaning teams in place, used to staff the other roles a site runs on. Supplied and employed by us, covered when someone is off.

  • Kitchen & catering
  • Caretaking
  • Reception & front of house
  • Security
NowThen Services

The things that arrive on a separate invoice everywhere else

Consumables, waste and the outside of the building, managed on the same schedule as the clean and billed on the same invoice, so usage is tracked, not guessed at.

  • Washroom supplies
  • Waste & recycling
  • External windows
  • Signage cleaning

None of it is compulsory. Plenty of our contracts are cleaning and nothing else. If you are currently managing four suppliers for one building, raise it at the site visit.

How we are set up

Eight things a buyer usually has to ask for.

Here they are without asking. If any of them matter to your procurement process, the documentation exists and we will send it before the site visit, not after.

01

Attendance

Full-time mobile supervisors and a dedicated relief team, so absence is staffed, not apologised for.

02

Verified hours

GPS-verified check-in and check-out on site. You are billed for hours worked, and attendance questions have an answer.

03

Employed teams

Our own employees, not agency staff. Recruitment, vetting, training and HR are ours, which is why the same faces come back.

04

Insurance

£5 million public liability covering every visit. Certificates supplied with the proposal, not on request three weeks later.

05

Health & safety

HSE-compliant risk assessments and method statements written for your site, and COSHH data sheets for everything we bring into it.

06

Communication

An office team reachable seven days a week and a named contact who knows the building. Not a ticket queue.

07

Systems

Scheduling, audits and reporting run on specialist software, so a standards report is a document, not a phone call.

08

Environment

Refillable, recyclable cleaning solutions instead of a van full of single-use plastic, and rounds routed to cut mileage between sites.

From enquiry to first clean

Four steps, and a price that comes from the building.

Commercial cleaning cannot be quoted off a rate card, and anyone who does it is guessing at your hours. This is what happens instead.

1

Site visit

We walk the building with you: the areas, the hours you need covered, the standard you are working to and the things the last contractor kept getting wrong.

2

Proposal

A written specification and price, with the hours, the tasks and their frequencies set out plainly. Insurance and compliance documents come with it.

3

Mobilisation

Team assigned and inducted, access and keyholding arranged, RAMS written for the site, consumables set up. You get a start date, not a vague fortnight.

4

Supervision

Mobile supervisors audit against the specification, your named contact stays the same, and the schedule flexes as the building changes.

Five counties · 25 towns and cities

Further than a domestic round can reach.

Home cleaning runs on local rounds, so it stays close to Sheffield. A commercial contract is staffed around one building with its own team, which makes distance a logistics question, not an obstacle.

Before you enquire

The questions buyers ask.

Q.01How is commercial cleaning priced?

On the building. The hours it needs, the areas involved, the standard you are working to and how often each task has to happen. That is why it starts with a site visit, not a form.

Anyone quoting a commercial contract from a rate card without seeing the building is estimating your hours, and the correction arrives later as a variation.

Q.02Can you work outside our operating hours?

Usually that is the point. Most of our contracts run early morning, evening or overnight so the building is right before anyone arrives and no one is cleaning around a working office. Access, alarms and keyholding are set up during mobilisation.

Q.03What happens when a cleaner is off sick?

Relief staff cover it. We employ cleaners who hold no round of their own so absence does not become your problem, and mobile supervisors pick up anything the relief team cannot reach.

It is the single most expensive decision in how we are structured, and the reason the phrase "the cleaners did not turn up" comes up in almost every first conversation we have with a new client.

Q.04We already have a contractor. What is involved in switching?

A site visit, a written proposal, and then a mobilisation plan with a firm start date so there is no gap between the last clean under your old contract and the first under ours.

Where existing cleaning staff transfer to us under TUPE, that process is handled as part of mobilisation and we will talk you through it at the proposal stage.

Q.05Can you supply consumables and washroom services too?

Yes. Washroom units and supplies, janitorial consumables, waste and recycling, external windows and signage, all on the same schedule and the same invoice as the cleaning. It is optional, and plenty of contracts are cleaning only.

Q.06What insurance and compliance documentation do you hold?

£5 million public liability insurance covering every visit, HSE-compliant risk assessments and method statements written for your site, and COSHH data sheets for every product we bring in.

All of it comes with the proposal. If your procurement process needs something specific, ask at the site visit and it will be in the pack.

Q.07Which areas do you cover?

Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Greater Manchester, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. 25 towns and cities in all. See the full list →

Start with the building

Half an hour on site beats an hour on the phone.

Show us round, tell us what has gone wrong before, and you will get a written specification and price. Not an estimate that changes once we see the place.
